Hello Milwee Symphonic & Concert Band!
Thank you for your hard work in class this past week in class! You are making gains towards learning your fall concert music. As a collective, we need to be putting more TIME at HOME on our instruments to keep up with our goals for this year. Students are reminded that you should be playing your instruments a MINIMUM of 1.5 hours per week, outside of class. I recommend practicing 20-30 minutes per day with the practice tracks found on eCampus– the second best option is to practice 30 minutes on days you do not have band class. Here’s a quick rundown of what is in detail below: 1. Fundraiser Turn-In Day 1 is tomorrow – don’t forget your $$$ and Order form! Double Prize Ticket day is tomorrow! Everyone’s fair share is to help us sell 10 items per student. 2. eCampus Assignments: All past-due assignments have been graded on eCampus and posted on Skyward. Instructions for each assignment are posted on eCampus, under MODULES. Symphonic Band – Your current scale due is “Concert Eb”, the next scale will be “Concert G” Concert Band – Your current scale due is “Concert Bb”, the next scale will be the “Chromatic Scale” 3. The next Band Booster Meeting is on Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:30pm in the Band Room. We will be discussing fundraiser updates and how to help at the fall concert. More details below, have a great week! Double Prize Ticket day – every item sold both online and in person (including donations) will receive two chances at our fabulous prizes! Thank you for bringing in your money and order forms. Don’t forget about your ONLINE part of the FUNDRAISER! This is a great way to have families support us who are out of town. We also are accepting donations – $10 of donations = 1 item of the fundraiser. There is a parent letter in the fundraising packet that reviews how our prizes work as well as how to sign up for an online fundraising account. Everyone is expected to help! Your student’s FAIR SHARE is 10 items sold (or $100 of donations). This helps pay for our festivals, buses, music, and guest instructors this year! If you need help with any fundraising questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me via email! How to start the fundraiser if you have not already: It's as simple as 1, 2, 3! 1.
