Our Fall Concert NEXT Tuesday night, October 24th at 6:00pm in Milwee Gym – all students will be performing. It’s going to be a fun show!

FALL CONCERT DETAILS:When and where is the concert, what time should I have my student report?
Concert Date: & Time Tuesday, October 24th @ 6pm in the Milwee Middle School Gym.
Arrive fully dressed with their instruments (NO CASES, leave them in the car) and music.
REPORT TIME: 5:45pm Parents also come in also and find your seat in the gym.
The concert will conclude just after 6:40, after the Concert Band performs, and we will need some great helpers to help set up for the next concert which starts at 7:30pm. Otherwise, students are dismissed after the band performs our three songs.
What are we wearing for the concert?Concert band members will be wearing their black uniform polo tucked into a pair of black dress pants, black shoes, and black socks with a black belt. Please wear closed toe shoes, I recommend black flats for female band members.
Black Polos were handed out in class last week (some students where supposed to pick up their polo during lunches/Spartan Time). If you did not receive a polo yet, please see me ASAP tomorrow during Spartan Time. Please pay for your uniform polo ASAP if you have not done so!
The cost is $17 for the polo, paid to the band boosters (Checks to Milwee Band Boosters)
What equipment does my student need to bring?
Woodwinds: Instrument, accessories, & music. Leave instrument case in the car.
Brass: Instrument (leave case in car or band room cubby!), Music Binder w/ music. All students must have their own mouthpiece and any students who use a different instrument at school must bring their instrument from home to the concert (Tubas & French Horns).
Percussion: Music Binder w/ music -- mallet bag from home. We will be using Milwee's xylophones, marimbas, snares and bases for this concert.
